The bottom line

Your photos and videos go directly to your Google Drive. Not ours. We have no servers. We never see your files. We don't know who you are.

What we access

Your WhatsApp media — Space Saver reads your WhatsApp photos and videos to move them to your own Google Drive. We never copy, store, or transmit them to any server of ours.

Your Google Account — we use Google Sign-In so you can connect your Drive. Your credentials are handled entirely by Google. We only receive a token that lets the app write to your Drive on your behalf.

Your Drive — we use the drive.file scope. This is the most restrictive Drive permission available: we can only access files that Space Saver itself created. We cannot browse or read anything else in your Drive.

App configuration — we use the drive.appdata scope to store a small configuration file in a hidden app folder in your Drive. This file is only accessible to Space Saver and is never visible to you or anyone else in your Drive file list.

What we don't do

• We do not collect your personal data
• We do not have a backend server or database
• We do not sell, share, or analyze your media
• We do not track your behavior or location
• We do not store anything outside your own device and your own Drive

How to remove your data

• Uninstall the app — removes all local data and tokens from your device
• Remove Drive access via myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps
• Optionally delete the app's folder in your Google Drive manually

Google API Disclosure & Limited Use Policy

The SS4WA (Space Saver for WhatsApp) application (the "App") uses Google OAuth and the Google Drive API to allow users to securely move and store their WhatsApp media files directly into their own personal Google Drive storage.

Data Access & Privacy — The App only accesses the specific folders and files necessary to perform the space-saving functions (via the drive.file and drive.appdata scopes). All data transfers occur directly between the user's mobile device and their personal Google Drive account. We do not host, store, collect, or monitor any of your personal files, photos, or media on any external or developer-owned servers.

Limited Use Compliance — The App's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

No Data Sharing — We do not share, sell, or transfer any data obtained through the Google APIs to third parties, advertising networks, or data brokers.

Third-party services

Google Sign-In & Google Drive — your use of Google services is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Changes

If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top. Continued use of the app means you accept the update.

1. Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using Space Saver for WhatsApp ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. What the App does

The App moves WhatsApp media files from your device to your personal Google Drive account to free up storage space. The App does not copy, store, or transmit your files to any servers owned or operated by us. All files remain in your own Google Drive account under your full control.

3. Your responsibilities

• You are solely responsible for maintaining access to your Google account and Google Drive
• You are solely responsible for ensuring adequate backups of your data exist before using the App
• You must not use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App

4. Third-party services

The App depends on Google Drive and Google Sign-In, which are services provided by Google LLC. We have no control over these services and are not responsible for their availability, reliability, or changes. Your use of Google services is governed by Google's Terms of Service.

The App's functionality also depends on the file structure, storage locations, and permissions of WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business ("WhatsApp"), which are products of Meta Platforms, Inc. WhatsApp may update, restrict, or change its behavior at any time without notice, which may partially or fully affect the App's functionality. We are not affiliated with Meta Platforms and have no control over WhatsApp's behavior. We are under no obligation to update the App to restore compatibility following changes made by Meta.

In such an event, your media files remain safely accessible in your own Google Drive account and can be retrieved directly via Google Drive, independent of the App.

5. No warranty

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

6. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF FILES, LOSS OF ACCESS TO YOUR GOOGLE DRIVE, LOSS OF WHATSAPP MEDIA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR ANY OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES — REGARDLESS OF WHETHER WE WERE ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months prior to the event giving rise to the claim. As the App is provided free of charge, this amount is €0.

7. Data loss

We expressly disclaim all liability for any loss, corruption, or inaccessibility of your media files or data, including losses caused by: Google Drive outages or changes, WhatsApp updates or policy changes, device failure, uninstallation of the App, or revocation of Google account access. You acknowledge that using cloud storage services carries inherent risks.

8. Changes to the App and Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time. We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice where possible. We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Termination

We may terminate your access to the App at any time, for any reason. We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice where possible. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

10. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

11. Consumer rights (EU / Netherlands)

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you may have under mandatory applicable consumer protection laws in the Netherlands or the European Union that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.
